BALDWIN CITY, Kan. -- The UTB/TSC Women's Soccer team fell 5-1 to Baker University (Kan.) Sunday afternoon.
UTB/TSC got off to a slow start in the first half of the game and Baker University pulled ahead 5-0.
UTB/TSC had a better second half with Nelleke Smits scoring with an assist by Leah Russell. The score was then 5-1 which was also the final score of the game.
Coach NikBarjaktarevic thoughts on the game were "all we will focus on is building on how we played in the second half against Baker, when we dominated both defensively and offensively, created 4-5 great goalscoring opportunities, penalty kick, and scored as well, withouth allowing any clear opportunities for Baker University. It was hard to come back after getting 5-0 down in the first half, but we never quit and kept pushing, which is the mentality we are trying to instill. We do need to build on this and get a positive result in the last game of our trip against very good Missouri Valley College."
The team is now 0-2 for the season.
The team will play again in Marshall, Missouri at 11:00 a.m Tuesday against Missouri Valley College
