Leah Russell of the University of Texas-Brownsville picked up Red River Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors for Sept. 10-16, while her teammate, Sarah Regalado, was this week's defensive player of the week honoree.

Russell, a senior forward from Oakville, Ont., provide the difference in a pair of wins for the Lady Scorpions last week. She scored a goal in UTB's 2-1 victory over Mississippi College in addition to notching the game-winner in a 1-0 triumph over Belhaven College (Miss.). The Lady Scorpions climbed to 2-3 on the season.

Regalado, a sophomore defender from McAllen, Texas, was instrumental in restricting UTB's opponents to one goal in two games including the shutout of Belhaven.
