Brownsville, Tx- On a hot Saturday afternoon the UTB/TSC Women's Soccer team defeated Texas Wesleyan University Rams 2-0 at the UTB/TSC Soccer field to extend their win streak to five games. 

The first goal came on an assist by Monica Mendes to Katherine Vega in the 33:38 minute of the contest. That goal gave UTB/TSC a lead they would not relinquish for the rest of the game. In the 66:07 minute of the game Isadora Freitas put it in the net on an assist from teamate Riley Medd, the second goal would seal the victory for UTB/TSC.

UTB/TSC had two corner kicks and a total of 16 shots on goal for the game compared to only 4 shots on goal by the visiting Rams.

The win streak for UTB/TSC is currently at five games. In the streak they have outscored their last five opponents 20-1.

UTB/TSC is currently 3-0 in conference play.

Next for UTB/TSC is Texas College on Thursday in Tyler, Texas at 3:00 p.m. They return home to the UTB/TSC Soccer Field on October 11 when they take on Huston-Tillotson.
