The UTB/TSC Men's golf team will be traveling to play in Houston, Texas starting on Monday at the Talamonti Invitational. The University of St. Thomas is the host school with the tournament being played at the Sterling Country Club.

The field will be small but extremely competitive. Schools in the tournament field are Texas Wesleyan, Our Lady of the Lake, University of Houston-Victoria, and the University of St. Thomas.

"With a small but yet really talented field it will be tough to earn a high finish but I know that our team is up for the challenge." said UTB/TSC head coach Anthony Lopez

Competing for the UTB/TSC men's team are senior Marcus Cavazos; juniors Eric Cavazos and Gage Murphy; Sophomore Alberto Castillo and Freshman Chris Tagle.

"The men's team will be a little more in tune with things at this event than the last one and I expect them to play well in Houston." said Lopez.

This is the men's second golf tournament of the year and the event will serve as a conference preview tournament because this will be the same course where the Red River Athletic Conference Championship will be held.
