The Men's and Women's soccer team will be playing this evening at Scorpion Field. The Men's game is scheduled at 5 p.m. with the Women's game scheduled for 7 p.m.
The Men's team is coming off a win in Muskogee, Oklahoma last week defeating Bacone College 5-1. They are currently 5-1 in conference play. Tonight's opponent for UTB/TSC is the defending conference champions Huston-Tillotson Rams.
UTB/TSC head coach Dan Balaguero knows his team is up for a good game today.
"It's a huge game for us." said Balaguero. "We have respect for HT (Huston-Tillotson) and we know we will have to be at our best to beat them."
The Women's team will also face the Rams in today's matchup. The Women's game is to follow right after the Men's game. The UTB/TSC Women's soccer team has been on a tear lately, outscoring their last seven regular season opponents 30-1.
The UTB/TSC Women's team is also playing their best soccer at the moment riding a seven game win streak dating back to their last loss, an overtime thriller at Missouri Valley College, on September 4.
"The girls feel good right now. We haven't been able to play at home as much so we want to come out tonight and show our campus what we are able to do." said UTB/TSC Women's head coach Nik Barjaktarevic. "We feel the pressure to continue the streak but also to do well at home."
The UTB/TSC soccer squads return on Saturday to Scorpion field as the host Southwestern Assemblies of God University. Women's game is slated for 11 a.m. and Men's game to start at 1 p.m.
