UTB and TSC went into Thursday's contest knowing that the Lousiana State University at Shreveport Lady Pilots were going to be a formidable opponent but UTB and TSC dug deep and at the end left Louisiana with a 3-0 win.

UTB and TSC wasted no time in scoring the first goal. Tabiata Vieira scored on an assist by Nelleke Smits in the 1st minute of the contest.

"We did well in the first five minutes to deny initial pressure by the Lady Pilots." said UTB and TSC head coach Nik Barjaktarevic. " We scored early and kept the game in check through out the ninety minutes."

Thirty-three minutes later in the 34th minute in the first half Viera once again got past the goalie to make it 2-0 on a set up from Monica Mendes.

The first half was coming to a close but not before Lorena Cardona found the back of the net on an assist by Katherine Vega to make it 3-0 and seal the scoring for the contest.

"We are one step closer to our goal with another great team performance against a very dangerous, organized and well coached LSU-Shreveport team." said Barjaktarevic.

UTB and TSC travel back into Texas to take on Northwood University Saturday morning at 11:00 a.m.

The Women's team will next be home on October 27 to play their last home match on Senior Day.
