On Senior Day, the Texas Wesleyan University Rams came into Garza Gym on Saturday with a lot of energy, however their energy was not enough as the UTB and TSC Volleyball team outplayed them in route to a 3-0 (25-18, 25-11, 25-14) win.

It was their twentieth straight victory for UTB and TSC and with the win pushes their conference record to 9-0.

Some of the best teamwork by UTB and TSC was on display Saturday for those volleyball fans in attendance.

"We got a good team effort today as a group. We touched a lot of balls on defense and for the most part stayed in system." said UTB and TSC head coach Todd Lowery. "Out of serve receive we were able to put a lot of pressure on them."

UTB and TSC was led by Danica Markovic with 7 kills and 2 blocks and Ana Guerra had 6 kills and 6 big blocks.

Three senior players were honored before the game for their commitment, hard work, and dedication to the volleyball program as student/athletes for UTB and TSC.

Seniors Erica Chimak, Lauren Berletch, and Paula Barros played their last home game at Garza Gym and their head coach could not have been more proud of them.

"It was a great day for three of our seniors who have meant so much to this program and are a big part of why this program is where it's at." said Lowery. "We have work yet to do this year but they will be missed next year."

UTB and TSC volleyball will now be on the road for the rest of the season in search of their second straight national title.

Starting next Thursday they will be in California for three of the biggest test for them since an August 31 win over then #6 Embry-Riddle.

UTB and TSC will play #2 Concordia University on Thursday, #23 Vanguard University on Friday, and #4 Biola on Saturday.
