EDINBURG -- Prairie View A&M University scored an unearned run in the bottom of the ninth inning to rally past UTB/TSC, 5-4, Saturday in the Al Ogletree Classic at Edinburg Baseball Stadium.
The Scorpions, now 7-11, return to Edinburg Baseball Stadium again to face Prairie View A&M (1-4) at noon Sunday.

UTB/TSC was the visiting team against PV Saturday and will be the home team in their game Sunday.
UTB/TSC led going into the bottom of the eighth, 4-2, with Dennis Ortiz relieving starter Matt Leffler. Ortiz gave up two runs on three hits to send the game into the ninth inning tied.
Adam Vera came in to pitch the ninth inning for the Scorpions. Leadoff hitter Salvador Hernandez reached base on an error by third baseman Robert Mariscal, whose throw pulled Scorpion first baseman Matt Ginn off the bag. Ginn tried to swipe a tag on Hernandez, but the umpire ruled safe.
Andre Oliver then followed with a double to left-center field, scoring Hernandez with the winning run.
The error was the only one in the game for the Scorpions. Prairie View A&M had four errors.
Leffler threw 96 pitches in seven innings, scattering seven hits, striking out three and walking two.
The Scorpions took an early 1-0 lead but PV tied it in the second inning, 1-1. UTB/TSC scored twice in the third to take a 3-1 lead, and made it 4-1 with a single run in the sixth.
PV scored one in the seventh to cut the lead to 4-2 and twice in the eighth to make it 4-4.
UTB/TSC had 10 hits, three by Matt Warner. Ginn drove in two runs on a 1-for-5 day.
