UTB/TSC's men's and women's golf teams get back into action for their second tournament in as many weeks in the Schreiner University Spring Shootout Monday and Tuesday at the Club at Comanche Trace Golf Course.
 
Last weekend, the Scorpions hosted the Sen. Eddie Lucio Collegiate Invitational at the South Padre Island Golf Club in Laguna Vista.
 
The Scorpion men's team finished first in the six-team field with a 603 score in two 18-hole rounds. Senior Brock Crosson finished second medalist in the tournament.
   
Playing for the Scorpion team will be Brock Crosson, Chris Milligan, Victor Calzada, Joseph Lucio and Vincent Cavazos. Playing indivudally will be Marcus Cavazos, Anthony Milligan, and Matt Cadriel.
 
"The wind will be blowing out of the north in the morning, so it will be a survival day," Scorpion head coach Bob Lucio said. "The scores will high Monday, so we just want to be conservative and play smart golf."
 
There are eight men's teams in the field and five women's teams.
 
The UTB/TSC women's team finished second in a three-team field at the Sen. Lucio Tournament, with junior Andrea Cadriel finishing second medalist as well.
 
The women's team will be made up of Cadriel, Krystal Garza, Cat Lira, Larissa Loredo and Pamela Lopez.
