The final game of a 15-game stretch of contests on the road comes to an end when UTB/TSC visits Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Chapman Field on the TAMUCC campus.
It's the first-ever meeting between the Islanders, members of the Southland Conference in the NCAA Division I, and the Scorpions, members of the NAIA's Red River Athletic Conference.

The Islanders are 7-3, beating teams like Texas State University, Elon University (Ariz.), Prairie View A&M University, Texas A&M University-Kingsville, and University of Houston-Victoria.
TAMUCC went 2-0 against PV and 1-0 against UHV. The Scorpions were 1-1 against PV and 5-3 against UHV.
UTB/TSC is 8-14 after dropping a doubleheader to NCAA Division III's Concordia University-Texas last week at Dell Diamond in Round Rock. The Scorpions have been unable to put two victories together since sweeping UHV in four games at Scorpion Field Feb. 6-7.
Following Tuesday's game, UTB/TSC will be home for nine straight games within six days during Spring Break March 13-18.
