Counting the last two wins at Texas College March 26-27, the Scorpions have scored 44 runs and pounded out 52 hits in their last three games. The double-digit hits total marked the 11th time in the last 18 games that the Scorpions had 10 or more hits in a game.
UTB/TSC scored one run in the first, three in the third, five in the fourth, two each in the sixth and eighth innings, and six in the ninth. HTU scored its two runs in the sixth inning on a two-run homer by Jamal Carrington, and added two more runs in the eighth inning on Carrington's two-run single.
