"This was a great experience because there are always a lot of stray animals roaming around our campus and surrounding streets," Scorpion freshman Chelsea Maidment said. "It was sad to see that so many of these stray animals do not have a home and family to return to. To be able to help with this cause really gave a sense of how bad the problem of pet over population within the city of Brownsville is. It is hard to understand how people can just leave there pets on the street to fend for themselves. Hopefully as a team and individually we can continue to help out with Brownsville Paws in the years to come."
