UTB/TSC first baseman/designated hitter Matt Ginn was the only Scorpion named to the Red River Athletic Conference First Team announced Saturday during the tournament at LaGrave Field in Fort Worth.

Ginn, a sophomore from Midlothian, Illinois, hit nine homers during the regular season for the Scorpions. He was named to the team as the DH.

Seven players from Northwood University made the 16-man first team. Texas Wesleyan University, Bacone College and Wiley College had two each.

Four Scorpions were named to the second team. First baseman Brian Bustos, outfielders Jorge Camorlinga and Matt Warner, and pitcher Danny Gidora were the second team selections.

UTB/TSC also had two players named to the Gold Glove team -- Warner and catcher Gus Henggeler.

Northwood's Jeff Sakowski was named Player of the Year and teammate Kane Kimrey was named Pitcher of the Year.
