Area high school juniors and seniors are invited to showcase their baseball talents at the 2010 Scorpion Baseball Combine Sunday, June 13, at Scorpion Field.

The combine is a chance for athletes to display their talents in front of Scorpion head coach Bryan Aughney and assistant coach Wade Pope.

Registration begins at 8 a.m.

The showcase will include running times, arm strength evaluation and a general fielding evaluation. Also included will be an on-field batting practice session for each hitter and a bullpen session for each pitcher. The drills will begin at 9 a.m.

At 12 noon, Coach Aughney will also conduct question-and-answer session with all players and parents discussing steps to prepare to enter college.

If enough position players are in attendance to fill two teams, a scrimmage will be played for players to show their talents in game situations at 1:30 p.m.
