The UTB/TSC women's volleyball team welcomed eight new faces as the Scorpions had their first workout Tuesday at the Recreation, Kinesiology and Education (REK) Center.

New faces on Coach Todd Lowery's team include Brazilian players Paula BarrosTamires Ferreira, Ana Guerra, and Michelle Lima; Puerto Rican Gregner Gotay-Quinones, German Katharina Nobel, and Serbian Danika Markovic, and Lauren Bertletch from Porter High School.

The Scorpions will host the Alumni in a scrimmage Aug. 21 at Manuel Garza B. Gymnasium. They begin the regular season Aug. 27 at the Texas Wesleyan University Hughes Volleyball Classic against Mid-American Christian University.
