LONDON, Ontario -- Former UTB/TSC golfer Brock Crosson shot a two-over par 74 Saturday Friday to fade to 21st place after the second day of the Canadian Men's Amateur Championship at the London Hunt and Country Club Thursday.
Crosson has a three-round total of 218, which is 13 shots behind tournament leader Albin Choi. His score puts him in a eight-way tie for 30th place going into Sunday's final round.
Crosson earned a berth in the U.S. Amateur Championship in July after taking the top spot at a qualifying tournament in July. The U.S. Amateur will be held Aug. 23-29 at Chambers Bay in University Place, Wash.
Crosson played for the Scorpions two years during the 2008-09 and 2009-10 seasons. He was one of three seniors this past year with the Scorpions, who won three tournaments and placed second in two others. He is returning to UTB/TSC in the fall semester and hopes to graduate in May 2011.
