The UTB/TSC men's soccer, women's soccer and volleyball teams will be participating in their final scrimmages of the season at home this weekend.
Admission is free to all scrimmages.
Volleyball
The annual rivalry between the Scorpions and alumni who played in previous years will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at Manuel Garza B. Gymnasium.
The 2010 Scorpions are favored to win the Red River Athletic Conference for the second straight year. They were 34-3 in 2009, advancing to the NAIA National Women's Volleyball Championship quarterfinals.
Alumni who have committed to playing include Katie Japp, Jenny Ashley, Jenny Soto, Vivi Lozano, Taeko Inoue, Connie Uribe, Esmeralda Uribe, Noelia Uribe, Roxie Saldivar, Vanessa Mata, and others who have yet to notify UTB/TSC. Interested alumni may email Ronnie Zamora at

The 2010 Scorpions open their season on the road August 27 against Mid-American Christian University in Fort Worth.
Men's Soccer
The men's soccer Scorpions will host The University of Texas-Pan American Club soccer team at 8 p.m. Saturday at REK Center Field.
UTPA does not have intercollegiate soccer, but does field a club soccer team composed mainly of UTPA students from the Upper Valley.
The Scorpion men's team opens its season August 27 against Belhaven University in Hattiesburg, Miss.
Women's Soccer
The women's soccer team has two scrimmages this weekend.
UTB/TSC hosts Tec de Monterrey in a scrimmage at 6 p.m. Friday at REK Center Field, and then hosts Texas A&M International University in a scrimmage at 8 p.m. Sunday.
The Scorpions will play TAMIU, a member of NCAA Division II, in a regular-season game Sept., 23 in Laredo.
The Scorpion women's team opens its season at 6 p.m. Saturday, August 28 at home against William Carey University, which is ranked No. 9 in the preseason NAIA Coaches Top 25 Poll.
