Anthony Lopez was named the head men's and women's golf coach at The University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College in October 2010.

He previously served as assistant coach since August 2008 under former head coach Bob Lucio until he was named head coach.

Prior to his current position, Lopez played for the Scorpion Men's Golf Team from Fall 2003 to Spring 2005 and from Fall 2006 to Spring 2008. He had one collegiate tournament victory at the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor Invitational in October 2006 with scores 72-71.

Lopez received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management in December 2007 and his Master of Business Administration degree in 2009.

He was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas and graduated from Hanna High School in 2003 where he was a District 32-5A medalist for golf during his senior year.

Lopez will serve as the NAIA women's golf rater for the Group V Unaffiliated conference.
