April Martinez has been a member of the UTB/TSC golf team since her freshman year. She is captain of the 2009 team.
She plans to graduate in May 2009 with a major in Psychology.
April is a 2005 graduate of Economedes High School in Edinburg, Texas. She was MVP and District 30-5A All-District in 2005. She also participated in volleyball and was district Blocker of the Year.
As a freshman in 2006, the Scorpions competed in the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA). April qualified for the national tournament.
UTB/TSC joined the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) in 2006.
As a senior, she qualified for the NAIA National Tournament by winning the conference tournament with a 36-hole score of 151.

- Texas A&M International University Dustdevil Spring Invitational, Laredo, Texas, Feb. 9-10, 2009: 78-81+159, 1st place out of field of 14.
- Red River Athletic Conference/Midlands Collegiate Athletics Conference Tournament, Oklahoma City, Okla., April 20-21, 2009: 71-80=151, 1st place in field of 20.
