Charity Cavazos joined the Athletics staff in Spring 2011.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science degree from UTB/TSC. She is working towards her master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis on Health and Human Performance / Exercise Science.
Cavazos has a background with Velocity Sports Performance Group in San Antonio. She has published various research papers and articles, is a member of National Strength & Conditioning Association, the Exercise Science Club at UTB/TSC, and the American College of Sports Medicine.
She is also a Fitness Associate/Personal Trainer at the UTB/TSC REK Center. Her involvement in Scorpion Athletics is attributed to great connection between the Scorpion Athletics and the Health and Human Performance Department. She works closely with HHP professors Dr. David Wittenberg and Dr. Murat Karabulut, and serves as a great benefit for both programs ultimately benefiting UTB/TSC students and athletes.
